    A Man's Shopping List

    We are not big on going to New Years Eve parties.  Heck, as a family, we are probably as big as many parties.
     
    We tend to celebrate by staying home, pigging out on junk, and breaking out the sparkling grape juice around 10:00.  Then, when midnight hits, break out a beer while Mrs. WHW has some wine (she is just a tad more cultured than me).
     
    So, today, against her better judgment, Mrs. WHW sent me off to the grocery store to get the necessities.  Here's the list I came up with (and successfully purchased)
     
      • 3 cans of cheese whiz
      • 2 bottles of sparkling grape juice
      • 1 bottle of Beringer White Zinfandel
      • 1 4-pack of Boddingtons Beer
      • 1 box of Chicken-in-a-biscuit
      • 1 box of Ritz's (if I see Rachael Ray on one more thing I am going to scream)
      • Bag of baby carrots (yes, its good for you, but.....)
      • Tub of veggie dip
      • Imitation crab sticks
      • Bottle of cocktail sauce
      • Box of Wheat Thins

    If anyone finds themselves in Central Illinios New Years Eve, and likes the sound of this party, stop by.  Should be a great time!!!

    Wow, sounds like your guys really tied one on. One what, I'm not sure. Sounds familiar, though. We never go out either on New Years Eve, but we did manage to make it past midnight for a change! Have yourself a great new year and stop by my space on Mondays to try and guess the new TV theme.

    That all sounded yummy to me also.  My kind of snacks.  Only thing you are missing is some pepperoni/sausage/beef stick slices and various cheese.

    Whoa!  Deja vu!  That looks like what M and N bring home after a trip to the store for New Year's supplies!  lol  We do the same as you.  We stay home, watch movies or play games, and then toast each other with sparkling grape juice at midnight.  By 12:15, we're all in bed.  lol
     
    Did you notice how many kinds of sparkling grape juice there are???  I thought it was either red or white.  Nope.  lol  We got one bottle of pink catawba and one bottle of spumante.  (I really like spumante.  Yum.)

    ahhh I dont think I could get there that fast..the weather is nasty and I want to stay indoors tonight. Love that list I think mine is pretty good too.. I added fruit and fruit dip to my menu..it's usually to counter act all that salt from all those damn chips I eat!! HAH..Happy NEw Year WHW and to MRS WHW too!!!  Boy, Dick Clark sounds pretty good tonight..glad he is recovering well!!  Cheers!!   :  )    Carol
